UAA womens basketball team Defeat Western Oregon 68-54

The womens basketball team defeated #5 ranked Western Oregon last Saturday night. Nikki Aden had the team score of 13 points with four steals. It was a slow start for the seawolves, the team trailed Western Oregon for the first 15 minutes of the game. The seawolves took the lead towards the end of the first period when Tamar Gruwell made two free throws. UAA maintained the lead for the rest of the game.

Nikki Aden, Tamar Gruwell, Hannah Johansson, and Nicci Miller all managed to put more then 10 points on the board. The Seawolves played a strong defensive game with 20 steals and forced Western Oregon into 31 turnovers. This week, the team travels to Seattle to play Seattle Pacific.
