UAA hockey team split the series with the Minnesota Gophers
The UAA Hockey team went 1 and 1 with the Minnesota Gophers this past weekend. Friday's game started with UAA taking a 2-1 lead with two back to back goals from freshmen Forward Mickey Spencer in the first period. The Gophers took the lead with .02 seconds left in the period and never looked back.
In Saturdays game, UAA's top scorer, Kevin Clark, scored his 14th goal of the season to put the seawolves in a 2-1 lead, the rest was defense.
This week, UAA heads to Minnesota for a rematch against St. Cloud. The teams met back on December 4th and 5th, where the Huskies swept the series 1-3 and 2-3. For KRUA sports this Donald McSherry.
